The only problem I have is the strings. They are a thick round web type string and hard to keep tied. We have to double knot, which sometimes still work their way open. Initially when he tried these on they seemed okay but were a little hard to get on his feet. I thought it was just the way the shoe was but it seemed like he had room to grow. After about a month, they no longer fit! I don't think these shoes are true to size and for the price I'm disappointed. Within the first 30 days the trim around the toe of the boots was coming unglued and gapped in various spots.
