Unfortunately these are bit narrower I think perhaps because of the stiff leather upper piece that goes right across my bunion. I'm trying to break them in and so far so good. I'm just using them for my treadmill work outs so I haven't worn them for more than a 1/2 hour at a time. But I think they'll break in just fine. The New Balance sneakers were comfortable but a little bit tight through the middle of my foot. Not enough to make them unwearable though. I did have trouble with them slipping on the tile floor at work, even if there was no apparent fluid on the floor. I am a dialysis nurse and there is ALWAYS fluid somewhere. I am not wearing them to work now and bought the non-slip Skechers for work. I still like the New Balance shoes and am keeping them for non-work activities. I have a really hard time finding sneakers because they are usually so gaudy. These sneakers are pretty good looking compared to what's out there.
