I used to wear Nikes and various other brands, but they are made for very narrow feet, which I do not have. I can wear my NB for walking and any other activity I do and my feet feel great, plus casual wear as they look great too. This is the second time I've had the 608. This shoe needs to be worn for awhile before it is comfortable for me, even though I get the wide width. It feels more like a medium width, so by the end of the day, I'm ready to take them off. I first ordered a 2A in this shoe; too narrow. I then ordered a medium...perfect! I would say this shoe runs narrow. I was surprised to find this 608 model at all, as I was told it had been replaced. I panic when I can't find it and am glad Zappos carries it. I have had back surgery twice and walk a lot to strengthen my back and find this shoe to be the most comfortable and most supportive of any I have tried. It holds up well and will even survive several trips through the washing machine when it gets too soiled. I thought I'd try something new so I ordered two different athletic shoes from Zappos but had to send them back due to fit in both cases (what a great return policy!). So I came back to the tried and true and appreciate the 608 all the more now. I wear a 10.5 AA (could use an AAA in the heel) so I really appreciate New Balance carrying this tough to find size. I'm appalled that this shoe's write-up shows that it is to be discontinued soon. I hope Zappos will tell NB not to do that.
