I really didn't know what type of shoe to try, but after reading other reviews, I selected this one. I originally ordered a 7 1/2 W, but it was too tight. I went up to an 8W and they fit perfectly. Although they are lighter, the comfort is simply not as good as the older version. Too much venting with mesh. Reminds me more of a water shoe. Not enough padding in the bottom. There doesn’t seem to be as much of a pronounced arch as before and the back part, where the heel and top of heel rub, is not as padded. The gel 330 TRs rule over these. Not worth what I paid. And for a woman with a size 12 foot, I don’t have the time to keep buying shoes and returning them. BRING BACK THE GEL 330 TRS! IF IT AINT BROKEN, DONT FIX IT! I get sore knees and have arthritis, I need the other ones. My last pair is still going strong. I had to put pads in them, but I wear them around. I wear these for work and they really aren’t as good. Not to mention they make my feet cold with too much mesh, the others were mostly leather. You can easily take them out of the box and complete a long run in them without having to wear them in or anything! They fit well in the heal; there is adequate room in the toe box; good structure and stability for pronators; and good arch support. And they are not heavy! I have worn nothing but Asics since my first pair about 5 years ago. They are perfect from day 1. No "breaking in" needed. The Gel-1130 did actually feel a bit larger in the (toe box only) than my previous favorite Gel-Nimbus 8s but they are still great. I receive compliments all the time on the stylish look and new mint green color. I previously purchased the Asics Gel Nimbus VII and it proved to be a wonderfully comfortable shoe. I normally wear a 10B or 9.5W in street shoes, but I wear an 11B in the Asics so that my toes are not at all crowded whether I'm walking or running. I've found that the Asics insole conforms to my foot after wearing for a few weeks. Even if the arch doesn't feel fully supported when I first get the shoes that feeling improves as I wear them because of the insole conforming to my foot. According to my podiatrist I have extremely high arches so this works very well for me! I highly recommend this shoe! Look:Best pumps ever. After reading other reviews about the difficult fit, I wasn't sure if I should try them or not. The style was so amazing that I went for it anyway, and man, I am so happy I did. First of all, the color is amazing and goes with so many colors, the shoe is of wonderful quality and they look absolutely amazing with everything...all cuts of jeans, especially skinny jeans, short shorts, knee-length shorts, skirts, dresses...literally everything, I could wear these with almost all of my clothes. The fit is actually good, I ordered my usual size 9 and it is right on...perfect fit except for a little extra room in the heel area, my foot slipped out a bit. I have narrow feet so this is a problem I usually run into with pumps, I just threw in an insole and problem solved.
