He is thrilled with these shoes, even though we have bought other New Balance wide shoes before...the stretchy part in between the leather stripes seems to have a lot of give. They are usually too narrow. New Balance is a shoe that you can buy in your actual size and expect it to fit well. At first they felt a little stiff in the arch but within a week I was very comfortable in them. I jog every day. I had tried Asics but they were too narrow.
