These shoes are okay. I actually put additional inserts in that help. I am getting custom orthotics soon, and the insole in this shoe is removable and will accommodate them. I have absolutely no complaints about Zappos however!!! Their service was the best of anyone I've ever ordered from. Awesome. I will order again. Thank you! I just started training for a 1/2 marathon, so I needed some new shoes that weren't going to give me blisters. When I first got them they were a 1/2 size too big, but I had my replacements within 2 days, it was great. I've been running multiple miles at once with these and haven't gotten any blisters at all. The tops of the shoe barely meet the sides of the tongue and the laces are almost too short when the shoe is on my foot. I've never had a pair of NB shoes before that didn't fit, so like an idiot I put these on and went for a walk. I got the strangest blisters on my heels, low on the insides of my heels. Can't return them now! I found a pair of Profoot insoles to replace the existing insoles that save my heels from the weird bumps in the shoes, so I guess I can get some wear out of these. The kind of physical therapy exercises I did made me think that a shoe with a stability last would be helpful. So I searched the New Balance line for stability trainers and ordered WR768. The design keeps my foot and ankle from turning inward and that seems to keep my hip pain at a minimum. The shoe is so lightweight and comfortable I hardly know I have shoes on. They look good too.
