I'm a bigger, active guy who plays an hour of pick-up basketball at least 3 times/week. I buy myself new shoes pretty frequently. I got into some Nike LeBron shoes and my feet were absolutely killing me after playing in the morning. I had been wearing sandals all summer and think my arches fell a bit adding to the pain. These shoes have alleviated the pain; provide great traction and excellent cushioning. The forefoot strap actually works and provides the additional arch support that means the difference between hobbling around and walking pain free. They are a little different than what he has had so I think he enjoys a little different look. They have what I would call a couple of patent leather strips that seem to be popular on a lot of shoes this year. The fit is great. I was amazed that I ordered these shoes on a Saturday and they were delivered on the following Monday. He said they were very comfortable, and he has relatively wide feet. He has great trouble finding shoes in the store as a result. However, when he took them off that evening he noted that one of his toes (2nd on the left foot) was bumping against the front of the shoe when he stopped quickly. The nail is now black and looks like it might fall off. He also says that the toe in question, is a bit longer than the other toes. Not sure what this all means, but there it is.
