I did have to go a whole size smaller than what I normally wear to get the right fit, but I rather them fit a little snug than to loose. I get a lot of comments on them. Unfortunately, the quality did not live up to the appearance. These shoes completely fell apart. The rubber sole is peeling away from the upper part of the shoe; the velcro straps are peeling away from the upper part of the shoes, and the velcro fastener is peeling away from the adjustable strap. If my foot was narrower, I would have exchanged the shoes for a size lower than my usual size. They're very comfy and great for everyday wear. I love how they are not super bulky, but retain that narrow-ness that is the real shape of my foot. I usually wear a size 8, but have narrow feet and went with the 7 1/2 which fits great! Zappos is amazing! I am a 9.5 in regular shoes, so ordered the size 10 without heeding the other reviews. Then I ordered the 9.5 and 9 - I am finally down to the 8.5 and I think they will work. If you have a wider foot, you may not want to go down so far in size, but otherwise you could probably start a full size lower and be fine.
