I normally wear an 8-8 1/2 and from the reviews I ordered an 8 and they fit great. The mesh fabric on the top and sides allow for ventilation; however, not so good if you are going to be outside in a lot of wet weather. I purchased these shoes for a trip that I expected to do a lot of walking on... I am currently in the midst of the trip and am very happy with the performance of this shoe. Support has been great. I am glad it isn't colder because I don't think I could wear thick enough socks to keep my feet warm (I followed others' advice and bought a half size down... for spring, summer and fall weather that's a good idea, but maybe not for winter, especially considering the mesh). I think the main complaint I have is that I prefer a squarer toe, but that's something I was aware of before buying these shoes. Ooh. I had to leave town and they had them shipped from the already-delivered-to previous address to 2 states away. The shoes came the next day. Wow. These shoes are comfortable and everything I need in an every day shoe. The vegan production really appealed to me. I usually like Saucony shoes, and cringe a little when I buy them knowing they are made with suede. These are a perfect substitute! Other shoes recommended by reviewer: saucony classics
