They provide full support, are lightweight, comfortable, and make me want to walk, stand, or be active. Like the color as it doesn't stand out as much as white shoes do, and does not show dust or dirt. Have worn them to travel, work, clean house, walk. Look: These athletic shoes were suggested by local long distance mountain runner; said if you have experienced foot issues, these shoes would take care of the issues. He was right! I was able to recover from planter fasciitis and resume my normal 10 - 15 miles of walking per week. My feet never get "hot", I don't experience "sore heels" or "Tingly Toes". The support they give allows me to be confident in my stride; I feel great for an overweight over 50 physically active woman! Look:These shoes are great. I have them in width D and EE (to wear with heavier socks and when my feet are swollen). My Dr. (Podiatrist) suggested the Brooks Addiction for the problems I have with my feet. Look:I have worn these shoes before, but decided to try the wider width. They work much better, and the shoes help me avoid back and leg aches. Zappos' service was absolutely fantastic. Look:I've been wearing Addiction for years. This shoe is really for people who have flat feet like me. Although Addiction 8 isn't perfect (I liked 6 the best, and 7 was terrible), this is still a good shoe, not too heavy but stiff enough to control instability of my feet. Look:These are my 4th pair of the Brooks Addictions. They are the best for wear and overall durability. I use them for work and I do 12 hour shifts and have arthritic feet and bad knees and these shoes remain comfortable throughout the long day. Zappos rocks for service and prices. Look:I have flat feet, ankle issues, and need a lot of support and stability. These shoes give great stability. Look:I normally wear 8.5 size sports shoe. I was fitted with a size 9 and have been wearing them for almost one year. It has been supporting, not only my feet but my back as well. In other shoes or barefooted, my back would start aching in 15 minutes and my walking would be limited to 15 to 30 minutes. With these shoes I can be up, standing, walking for 5 or more hours (without an ache anywhere). I bought 2 previous Brooks Additon shoes, both all leather, and they really helped me tolerate wearing shoes at all. I have a problem with my feet being too flacid, and therefore, needing a lot of support and limiting the sloppy movement of my feet whenever I take a step, which is very painful. This is the first time I bought the athletic tennis shoe version. At first, I thought the shoe felt too small/tight with my othodics insert, but after wearing it awhile around the house, that was no longer a concern. The problem wasn't that the shoe was too small, it was that with my added orthodics, it made the shoe slip up/down in the heel area every time I took a step. I had to remove the original inserts that came w/ the shoe in order to accommadate my prescribed orthotics and to stop that slippage. I worry that by removing the original inserts, it will eventually hurt the integrity of the shoe. It is too soon to tell, but overall, the shoe feels very comfortable. Plenty of toe room (I normally need to take a Wide, but not in any of the Brooks shoes, they run wide) and support; also helps limit pronation or side to side movement of my foot. After a full day of wearing, however, I'm ready to get out of them, but that seems to be true of any shoe, where my feet are concerned, and not necessarily the fault of the shoe. Without the original inserts, the top edge of the shoe sometimes presses into the bottom edge of my ankle, but doesn't cause a blister or anything. I will probably buy them again or possibly the more expensive version of them. Look:I’ve been a fan of Brooks for years. I am glad that they have not discontinued this Addiction style. I am certainly addicted to them. What I like most is how my toes don’t feel like they are falling off a cliff when they are on. I hope someone understands what I am saying here... but many athletic shoes feel like they just disappear under my toes and then my toes seem to go numb. These Brooks always feel comfortable and I never have a problem with the toe thing. I love how Zappos makes it quick and easy to order!
