Look:These shoes are great for my very active 2-year old. We live in a warm and sometimes very humid area and no matter how long she has these shoes on, her socks are never wet when we remove them. Look: I bought this shoe for my two year old (and the boy version for her twin brother). My daughter has a fairly wide foot and the strap on this shoe is not long enough and constantly comes undone. Anyone with a toddler knows that is a supreme irritant because as soon as it does (usually while I am driving and can't reach around to immediately fix it) my daughter becomes unglued. It is actually so short that she has trouble pulling it tight enough to fix it herself (again, parents of toddlers know that they want to "do it themselves"...). Plus, the shoe, which is kind of stiff, hasn't worn very well, either. The metallic finish has rubbed off a good bit with climbing on the playground, etc., although she's pretty active. Another reviewer marked it down for feeling narrower than usual. However, anyone who knows New Balance knows that this is typical of the brand. My daughter has a narrow foot, so I *only* buy her New Balance athletic shoes. I especially love how the rubber toe comes up high, preventing scuffing and wear for kids who tend to drag their feet, as mine does. Great shoe!
