Look: As the above reviewers have said, these are really comfortable shoes. I'm surprised they're lighter and more comfortable than my Reebok, which aren't heavy, but the Avia 5506 makes the RBK feel like 3 pounds heavier. Anyway, the only down side to these shoes is that they're ugly looking (in my honest opinion, especially when you look down at your feet) and they're half size smaller. So if you normally wear a 10, go 10.5. The surprising thing is, with the price I bought the Avia 5506, I can't buy a New Balance, Nike or Asics running shoe. I guess the theory is, if you're going to buy Asics or New Balance, you better invest in at least $70 because I've worn less expensive Asics and Nikes and, uh, it's quite disappointing. I have found that these have the best support and cushioning in the heel and arch, so not only do I use these for running, but I use them at work since I often am needed to lift and move heavy materials out of the truck into construction sites. These are great for moving heavy materials because they absorb impact and reduce the force on my feet.
