Look: This was the first order I have made with Zappos and I have been really pleased with the entire process. I am deployed overseas at the moment and needed a new pair of running shoes to handle all the treadmill running I have been doing of late. My last pair of Brooks (Ghost) were very comfortable, but broke down rather quickly. I read the the reviews on the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 9 and have been really surprised at the comfort and durability of these shoes. I run roughly 3-5 miles daily on old treadmills and these have held up really well for the 1st month so far. Look:These are perfect shoes. I was long a fan of the Asics Nimbus but the current generation doesn\'t fit me right anymore. I struggled unsuccessfully to find an alternative that fit as well as those older models did. A friend recommended the Brooks and they are phenomenal right out of the box. You can\'t go wrong with these. Look:I want to start with a few words about Zappos. They are great! I wouldn't buy a pair of shoes from anyone else on the internet. They have a great selection, great service, and fair prices. If you have any problems or need to do an exchange, no problem. They will go the extra mile and do whatever it takes. What more could you ask for? Now, for the Brooks. I'm not a runner. I purchased the Brooks to wear at work, and in the gym. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. They are very light, yet they provide excellent support with a great cushion. They are well constructed, and they have a super look. No more Nike or New Balance. I chose this particular shoe, as it hugs comfortably the mid-section of my foot, and expands nicely to accommodate my wider front foot while it also cups my narrow heel adequately. When I wear the shoes for rapid walking on paved surfaces, I have discovered that my arches tire less and I maintain a natural gait without evidence of pronation. (Otherwise I have a severe pronation problem.) Look:This was the successor to the Adrenaline GTS 8, which I had purchased before. Shoe fit very well and color was just what I wanted. Zappos service was very fast. I've usually purchased either Brooks or New Balance tennis shoes for their comfort and performance. Look:These shoes are a great fit for me. I place orthotics in them, and my recently injured foot and leg can walk pain free. Unfortunately when the original insert is removed there is slightly rough shoe bottom that my toes rub on since my orthotics are only 3/4 the length of the shoe. I need extra help with arch support, so I cannot rely on the only moderate support that the shoe provides. To sum up my evaluation, I find them airy and cool and so comfortable that I have purchased 4 pair of them. Look:I ordered these for my son, who needed more cushion in a running shoe, realized from a previous Asics that wasn\\\'t adequate and caused sore/pulled leg muscles. These are really an improvement and have helped eliminate the leg muscle injury. He says they feel very cushy/protective and flexible, not a hard or stiff ride while running. They also are true to size and width, and seem much more substantial than even New Balance, which he bought in the past for width choices. Last but not least, Zappos is a huge part of gettin\' goin\' again, since you get your shoes in one or two days! Look:I'm very happy to be back in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS. I have worn, from what I remember, the GTS 3, 4, 5, 6. The GTS 7 didn't fit right to me so I switched to Adidas Supernova. For the life of that shoe, it just never really felt "great" even after doing a half marathon. I finally wore them out and it was time to get new ones. The GTS 9's fit perfect and stabilize my foot perfectly. With the insert I have the perfect cushion. I'm amazed at how poorly the Adidas was for me after being back in the shoe. Look:I am a walker. Unfortunately I have found walking shoes to be uncomfortable, heavy, and hot. Seems most engineering goes into running shoes. So after much research I tried Brooks. Thank you! They are great!!! Light, comfortable and the heel box is exactly what I needed. Great support with good cushion. I walk between 7 and 9 miles a day and I can tell a difference in my old aching knees and feet. Highly recommend. I did get a half size larger than I normally have worn and they fit perfectly. Look:Shoes are alright; I tend to run 18+ miles a week so these shoes didn't cut it for me. Very stiff, but has plenty of room in the toe and sides. Would recommend the Asics Gel Kayano 15's if you moderately overpronate as I do, and tend to run longer distances. Unlike the Asics GT 2000 and 2100 line which I have also worn for years sometimes when they come out with a new shoe in the line they don't always work or fit well, so I have to try to find the last version or wait another year for the new version. I have never had to do that with Brooks. I like to alternate the Brooks and Asics from one day to the next. These two shoes are very similar in design. My feet are very hard to fit. With bunions I need a wide toe box and narrow heel. I am a woman so I always get men's shoes in wide and that works great. Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Asics GT2040
