Look: I've worn Mizuno Nirvanas for years. They were the most comfortable shoe I'd ever found for my high arches and recurring plantar fasciitis, but something has changed. The arch support in the Nirvana 5 shoes is barely adequate. I've had a recurrence of my plantar fasciitis and sore ankles since I started wearing them. Look:Love this shoe. This is the third pair for me. I am an overpronator, plus I had some joint problems. This shoe gives me excellent stability. Look:I have been buying Mizuno running shoes for stable gait for years. I have never encountered a lumpy arch support area until now. Everything else about this shoe is as my others, really good. My feet are flat, really flat. And I have always suffered from shin splints, sore feet, etc. I hated running for those reasons. Now, I look forward to my runs. I realize that this is how my feet are supposed to hit the pavement. Look:These are my second pair of Mizuno running shoes and I love them. They fit well and were good to go straight of the box without time for breaking in. I've ran at least a few hundred miles in these now and I can't complain, they're as comfortable and supportive as ever. I just ran 10 miles in them the other day and even then, they were great! (I am not a tried and true runner by any means either.) What I love about Mizuno, in addition to how comfortable they are, is that they take style into consideration as they design the shoes. A lot of the specialty running shoes don't look nearly as good. Their colors pop and you don't feel like you have to sacrifice style for comfortable feet. Look:Beyond any and all expectations!!!! It's hard to find a really "great" shoe when you've been wearing one of the best for years(Asics Gel Kayano). Well... this may just top that one! No breaking in period needed... Right out of the box, ran my 5 miles, and never felt one rub, chafe, weak spot.. etc.. They give great support..I have severe osteoporosis, and just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago.. so I really needed the "Perfect" shoe. I think I've found it in the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 5!!! (now if only they could come down on the price just a bit),,,I'm experiencing "NIRVANA',,, a little humor there. I also want to commend Zappos for their beyond excellent customer service. I ordered the wrong size, and paid for overnighting them, then had to return them in exchange for the correct size... Zappos not only refunded my overnight shipping from the first pair, but then paid to have the second pair overnighted to me! Excellent staff, Great attitudes.. That's how customer service should be everywhere!!! Look:Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Arch: No arch support Nirvana - I love nirvana but not these ones they are very stiff and uncomfortable. I'm sending mine back. I love the way they look. Nirvana is the only shoe I run in but these ones I did not like at all. Top
