Look:I have had the MX1210s for two weeks, and absolutely love these cross trainers. I am 5'10", athletic, and train 6 days a week between weights and cardio. I have worn NB cross trainers for the last 10 years, and this is the most comfortable and supportive model I have ever used. They are true to size, width, and arch support to other NB cross trainers I have worn in the past. Look: I’m really disappointed with this shoe. I gave it a few workouts because I usually find that it takes my feet a few "tries" to get used to new shoes. Well, try as I might, these shoes just did not fit my feet properly. While I LOVE that they are light as feather and pretty sleek/trendy for cross trainers, that’s where the good part ends. These shoes are EXTREMELY narrow, particularly in the heel area. Within in a few minutes of starting my workout (which consists of treadmill work, dance and weight training) my feet hurt. It literally felt like someone was squeezing my heels with their hands. The tops of my feet even hurt the next day. The cushioning was also lacking, as the balls of my feet hurt within a few minutes of high-impact activity, plus the arch in the right shoe was too high. To put things in perspective, I am an overweight woman (5’ 8”, 225 lbs.) with big, wide feet - which is why I wear men’s trainers (I need a bigger size and extra support), so maybe someone who weighs less and has narrow feet would do okay with this shoe. 2009-07-22 10:31:05 New Balance MX1210 Reviewer: Anonymous from Florida Overall:

Look: Ordered these as I wanted a quality cross trainer for weights and treadmill. Arch support on right shoe was too high and caused severe ankle swelling after just a few workouts and few weeks of wear. Went back to my old pair of Avia, no problem with ankle. I would expect better quality control on a shoe that costs a great deal of money! Called Zappos, no problem with the return. Will try Saucony Grid Excursion TR 4 next, cheaper and in my opinion look better.
