Saying that, I was surprised by the cushioning and comfort of the sole. Very light, with little support, this shoe is either for the smaller runner who does some work on smooth trails, or the person who likes a comfortable athletic shoe to go with jeans during the weekend. I bought the black on black model, which has an understated style to go with its minimalist structure. While being pretty stylish compared to most running shoes, and super light, I don't feel the cushion everyone is talking about? I am 6'3", 214 pounds, and after running 3 miles on a treadmill my whole lower body hurt, which I never got from my New Balance. Knees, lower back, thighs, they all hurt. I am not a marathon runner, I strictly run 2-3 miles 3-4 days a week to stay in shape. So if you are an avid runner and like light no cushion shoes these might be for you. I think I just need a lot more support. On the other hand, I did use these as trainers and they were great. So they aren't a total wash. Just will not use them as my running shoes! Look:Last minute my son needed running shoes.We headed out to the local stores and come to find out size 14 is not available at stores. Panic hits, we go to Zappos, pick out the shoe he liked at the store and placed the order immediately. It was delivered within 3 days! We were a bit nervous since it's the first time buying shoes for him online. My son was thrilled and excited. They are comfortable, roomy and extremely lightweight. Look:I really like this shoe, this is a well made, good performing shoe. While Nike claims running barefoot is good for you, this shoe along with a pair of Superfeet have made me a believer in underfoot support. The inner sole feels good - makes me want to run, and they are super light. The Nike + technology is awesome too - I am not an avid runner but these shoes paired with my iphone and sensor have helped me get really into it. The only criticism I can think of is they make a strange fold at the ball of the right shoe, which I can feel pop when I move my feet, but this neither looks bad or is annoying. Look:These shoes are very lightweight and quite comfortable to run in; this is good because I have large feet (size 12) and the lighter weight comes in handy. As with all Nike products, these shoes are well made with quality materials. I like the design of these shoes as they are modern without being garish. For reference, I purchased the black Nikes with gray accents. Running with them on is great; they provide very good cushioning throughout the sole (heel to toe). If I had to "nitpick" it would be that the inner sole's color choice is questionable: fluorescent green. However, no one will ever see it as one's foot is inside. Look:I was looking for a lightweight running shoe that gave me plenty of cushioning. I have a very muscular frame and use to run sprint events in track, so lightweight is very important to me. I know run 3-6 miles 2-3 times a week and these shoes have been exactly what I was looking for. Look:This shoe is very bouncy. It's extremely light, and would be great for running, but was a little too bouncy for me so I exchanged them. Great fit, and plenty of toe room.
