This shoe is rather heavy in the sole, I'm not used to that and I feel like my ankles are not happy because of the extra weight. They are a comfortable fit and have good arch support. I was looking for neutral grey gym sneakers to replace my old New Balance 470s. So I ordered the grey/pink pair of the WR8508. I was disappointed when I took them out of the box – they were more shiny and metallic silver than grey. The pink hollow heel looked kind of weird too. I wanted a shoe that I could wear with jeans to work, in addition to wearing to the gym and these just looked too ridiculous for my taste, so I had to return them. The white/blue looks more like white/aqua or turquoise on my screen and that is what I wanted and that is what I got! The blue is a very soft, greenish blue. Very pretty and trendy for this summer. The shoe is very attractive, even on my wide foot… is well made and well cushioned, yet supportive. In NB, I usually wear an 8.5EE or 9 wide, so I ordered these in the 9W. Out of the box they fit great and the toe box was very roomy, but now that I've worn them a few times, I think I could have gone down a 1/2 size to the 8.5W in this shoe. I wore these all over France and did a lot of walking and my feet never complained. I bought these 8508's and the 8507's (both in black). Out of the box I liked the look of these better. More sleek, less *sloppy*. When I received them I put one of each on and wore them for a few hours, changed feet and wore them for a while longer. These 8508's were smaller in the toe box. My toes got a tad tingly, so I know if I were exercising/sweating, they'd become too tight.
