I've owned a couple other pairs New Balance motion control shoes as well as a pair of Saucony's. This pair has been great so far. I'm in the military and I have pretty flat arches, hence the motion control style. These give great support for flatter arches, and are extremely comfortable. These were a step up from my last pair of M587's, and I do think the MR1011's were more comfortable. It is a well built shoe with plenty of support. Great for those who foot tends to over-pronate and is available in 4E width. I like this shoe as much as the last pair of New Balance MR1010 I owned. I have had several surgeries on my foot and need cushioning and support which the MR1011 is the answer. It is wide enough to accommodate my orthotics and still plenty of room in the toe box. I mainly use these shoes for walking and light exercise rather than running. They are comfortable and lightweight.
