These shoes were recommended to me and fitted at a running store for my gait and plantar fasciitis. I go through a pair every three or four months because I walk a lot! Since I know what I like, I have ordered all my subsequent Zoom Structure Triax +12 from Zappos. Zappos has often alerted me by e-mail that they were expediting my shoes to get them to me more quickly. Sometimes, my Zoom Structure Triax +12s arrive the next day after I ordered them! Thank you, Zappos! These shoes are perfect for my small wide feet that need extra support and stability. They keep my feet straight on the ground without rolling to the sides. I have a bunion on one foot and the toe box is wide enough to enclose that area gently yet supportively. The padding is generous and firm. I tend to overpronate and the bottom of the shoe has layer upon layer of support. My plantar fasciitis is now under control and my feet stopped hurting and I believe these shoes helped diminish and relieve my discomfort. I do not want to give up walking and being active. They were even quick to respond to my emails! My Nike Zoom Structure Triax + 12 shoes are very comfortable. My primary use for them is for walking and working out at the gym. They support my feet better than any shoe I ever wore. They are made for people with high arches. They take some time to get used to, but when you do they are great. They seem to improve the way you walk! I would strongly recommend them to people who have high arches. 2009-11-11 05:55:59 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Maryland Overall: These running shoes are the best! The box toe front doesn\'t squeeze the toes and they are well cushioned! I run 3 to 4 miles almost every day and these shoes never hurt! I hope they don\'t stop making them! 2009-11-10 12:01:16 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from MASSACHUSETTS Overall: Unbelievable service, ordered yesterday afternoon and they are here and on my feet less than 24 hours later at no additional fee! The sneakers are awesome too, better than they looked in the picture. I wear a lot of grey and bright pink so they are the perfect color combo and I like the grey vs. white for fall and winter. They are comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear a 7 1/2 in shoes, but ordered an 8 in these since my last pair of Nike were 8 and they fit great. I am mainly a walker with some running thrown in here and there and feel that they will be a perfect shoe for that. Also, I have experienced Achilles pain in the past and these are nice because the back doesn't go to high up on my ankle and the back isn't too stiff. 2009-11-06 14:42:10 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Dallas Overall: These seem to run a little bigger than the Triax 11s that I had, which I loved. They don't have the air pillow under the front ball of my foot, which I really liked. I wear a 6.5 shoe and typically wear a 7.5 running shoe. I ordered these in 7.5 and probably should have returned them for a 7. They feel a little sloppy. Too bad I wore them several times before making up my mind. 2009-11-03 05:38:41 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Austin, TX Overall: I have run in almost every version of the Structure Triax. It is the only running shoe I will buy. It helps control pronation and has enough room in the footbed for my bunions. I order 1/2 size larger to accommodate my orthotics, and that works great for me. I would wear these all day every day if I could. They may not look professional, but they offer professional level support and comfort. I highly recommend these shoes for people who need good arch support, pronation control, and cushioning. 2009-10-07 06:52:03 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from davenport, ia Overall: These are great running shoes (the fourth pair I've owned in the series)! I went to a "shoe fitting open house" at a local running store and these were recommended after analyzing my stride. I have been hooked on the shoes ever since. They are comfortable right out of the box. A week before a half marathon, I developed some unusual foot and calf pain. I didn't want to get new shoes so close to the race, but I had no problems at all. I also wear them to some high impact classes at the YMCA. Seems like cross trainers never have enough cushion for me, but these always live up to the expectation. I just recently bought the Nike+ chip, so I haven't had too much time to fiddle with that part yet, but so far it is helpful with training. I also have to commend Zappos for the best service around. Although I would love to support my local running store, I never seem to make it there during business hours. Zappos always delivers to my doorstep in two days! I will remain loyal to Zappos for that reason (and the free return shipping). Thank you for caring about the customer! They arrived with lighting speed (thanks, Zappos!), and the color (pink) and silver/gray is great. I put them inside the house and walked around for a bit...and for whatever reason, the right heel keep rubbing and it's already causing a bit of a blister. I changed my socks from thicker, athletic socks to thing ones, hoping it would help the narrow heel aspect...but it really doesn't. After walking around in them indoors for half a mile, my right heel is sore and red. Also, the cushioning in these is not that good. The shoe is lightweight and cute looking, but the padding is stiff and for an overpronator with a low arch like me, I don't feel this offers as much support. I would definitely need orthotics in this for extra support, but the shoe is already too narrow and probably would not work with one. Too bad - I had really hoped these would work. The search for the right running shoes continues. The shoes come on time and if they don\'t fit, free shipping back. Zappos is great! 2009-09-16 05:52:43 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from West Chester, Pennsylvania Overall: Great shoe and good support. There is not much room for wearing the thicker socks, only the thin sport styles fit comfortably inside the shoe. That's what I'm wearing now. I don't know if I'll be able to use the shoe for exercise in the winter months. 2009-08-24 11:38:32 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Dorothy Chamberlin from Colorado Springs, CO Overall: Zappos is fantastic! I was afraid to order because I have a bunion and was afraid the shoes might not fit. I knew I could send them back if not, but was pleasantly surprised that they fit perfectly and I love them. My husband ordered Rockports and they were a bit small, so he returned them and ordered the next size which were a perfect fit and he is very happy with his shoes, too. I have been telling people about Zappos and even told a fellow stretching next to me at the gym this morning. I am extremely pleased with Zappos and with my new Nikes. Thank you so much for making it so easy. Another thing, the same shoes in a local running shoe store are a lot more than what I paid at Zappos. Can't beat that! Other shoes recommended by reviewer: I only like Nikes - no other shoe is as comfortable 2009-08-22 19:47:15 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Chicago Overall: Great out of the box. Typically Nike isn\'t supportive enough for my narrowish low-arch foot. Triax+ 12 has a low collar, roomy toe box, grippy sole and a fast light ride. Cute styling too. (No small thing in a stability shoe; my other ones are bricks by comparison). Nice narrow heel (no rubbing or blisters). Bought them especially to fit the Nike+ sensor which pops into the middle of the footbed on the left shoe. A welcome surprise for those of us who need both zoom and structure. I totally wore out a pair of the Triax+ 11 and these seem just as comfortable. I'd recommend them for people who need support and overpronate. 2009-08-16 20:30:27 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Mountain View, CA Overall: Love these shoes. They offer great arch support and are lightweight. I find them incredibly comfortable for both pavement and trail running. 2009-08-13 06:27:48 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Mandy DiSalle from Cincinnati Overall: I love these Nike Zoom Structure Triax shoes. I am an overpronator and these shoes really help create balance in my step. They fit the width of my feet as well. Awesome shoes! 2009-08-09 11:47:31 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Hollywood, FL Overall: Shoes are cute and very comfortable. I ordered narrow, size 8 and they are true to the size. Great arch support as well. 2009-07-28 16:36:52 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Bailey from takoma park, md Overall: Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Just okay - based on past Nike running shoes I was expecting a little more of a cushy feel. Also, there is no room for inserts, even without insert I can barely get the laces tied. I have what I'd consider an average sized 7.5 foot. 2009-07-12 15:01:55 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Ocean Springs, MS Overall: Lately, this has been my favorite running shoe. I weigh 135 and prefer a nice stability shoe and I run about 21 miles a week. These never hurt my feet or knees and I will probably be buying another pair! 2009-06-28 17:38:55 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Michele S. from Connecticut Overall: I have pancake flat feet and run high mileage. This is the only running shoe I have ever worn that has enough support built into it so I don't need to wear my orthotics. It is perfect because it has a wide toe box, it hugs your arch, and it has a narrow heel. I love this shoe because my heel never slips when I'm running, and there is extra cushioning in the heel that gives me spring when I run. Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Adidas, New Balance 2009-06-07 05:57:24 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Amber H from California Overall: Still a good shoe, but doesnt compare to the Triax+11s. I had about 5 pairs of the 11s and they have more cushioning and just an overall better ride. My legs seem to get fatigued a little faster in these shoes because of the firmer ride. I think I should have gotten them Vomero 3s, but figured I would just stick with the Triax... live and learn I suppose! 2009-05-20 11:24:21 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from Akron, Ohio Overall: After having two pairs of Asics followed by two pairs of Brooks Adrenalin, I decided to try the Nike Zoom Structure Triax +12. The wider toe box, shorter padded tongue that did not impinge on my ankles, and good arch and pronator support were all features that worked for me. For running shoes, I usually get a half-size larger than my regular shoes, but for the Nike Zoom Structure, I needed a full size larger. They are similar in weight to the Brooks and feel (at least initially) like I have more support. For orthopedic reasons, I wear a heel insert which I was able to insert easily under the sock liner of both the Brooks and Nike shoes. Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Brook Adrenalin GTS or ASR 2009-05-12 05:57:23 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Megan F from New York Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Great running shoes - I used to think I could never wear Nikes, in the past they had always been too narrow for my foot. I have a wide foot at the toe box, but kind of narrow in the heel. The Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 shoes are a perfect fit for me! I also am a mild overpronator, which I found out by looking at an old pair of shoes - the sole wore more on the outside of the heel. These shoes are like running on air (and I run on concrete or slate sidewalks)! I ran a 5K recently in these shoes and the only problem I experienced was that the tops of my feet hurt a bit over the arch (but I have very high arches and probably tied them a little too tight). On my regular 1-2 mile runs, no problem whatsoever. Overall a wonderful shoe, definitely worth the price!! I bought the gray/green ones, but would consider purchasing the silver/pink as well. 2009-05-11 09:01:00 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Anonymous from sS Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support nice zoom structure triax 12 - Size is true for running shoes, which I always need in a half size larger than regular non-running shoes. I love this running shoe - really good stability and wide in the toe box - good for a gross bunion foot. 2009-05-09 05:46:56 Nike Zoom Structure Triax+ 12 Reviewer: Sara from Houston, TX Overall: Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Shoe Arch: Moderate arch support Good Nike Shoe - For the price, this is a good shoe buy. The sole and sides wear fairly fast but I also work out / run every day in them. Excellent support although a little heavy, but not too stiff. I like Nike because of the iPod device you can put in the shoe. Being an Asics fan for years, I hadnt tried Nikes a while and decided to give the Zoom Structure Triax 12 a shot since its so highly rated. I tried a 1/2 size bigger than my usual 7.5, based on previous reviews saying this shoe runs 1/2 size small, but I found the 7.5 fit better since the shoes seem long in the toe area. Nice cushioning and stability, but my heels slip out with every step. Strange, as Ive never had that issue with a running shoe before. For me, not a good fit - looks like Ill be going back to Asics.
